Since we've been playing a lot of demolition lately and happen to run in some decent players every now and then , i thought it be good to upload some tips. So lets say you meet some players that have some skills , there's a few rules you wanna hold on.
OffenseThere are two main things you need to keep in mind
The first one is :
Stick Together Quickly decide wich point to tackle , and push that point hard with you entire team. Splitting up is usaly a bad idea, staying in place and guarding it before defenders assault the area is difficult enough as it is. Defenders usaly respawn closer to the bombsite. Picking the right target is important
Seccond :
Take Out The Difficult Bombsite First Once one of the two bombsite has been destroyed , all of the defenders concentrate on the remaining site. Take out the hard site first, this will make it much easier to win the round.
Tactical Insertions are your lifeblood in no other gametype is a piece of equipment so important. Your entire team should use insertions unless you absolutely need a jammer to shut down enemy equipment. If you use a jammer set them it up near the bombsite to disable equipment and their radar. Dont plant your tact very close to the sites , just set them up about halfway from your spawn to the site. this prevents your enemy discovering your tact , and cuts the time every time you respawn.
Be sure to move them around if the enemy clears them out. Basicly it outweighs the chances of an occasional double death's sometimes.
Smoke Grenades can also help you out. Creating smoke screens to obscure sight lines to bombsites can create confusion around the site.
A special tactic on offense is to do a
Fake Plant It will draw defenders away form your real target. The best time to do this , is when the enemy has a radar. Take a stealth class with ghost and plant the secondary target. Then have the remaining players of your team attack the primary bombsite.
DefenseYour first push should be to
establish a defensive perimeter at each site Set up you equipment quickly , and get a good spot.
try to set up defenses at both sites , and be ready to switch positions if needed.
When your forced to make a choice
Always focus on the easier site to defend Hold the point that's furthest from their spawn and pick a spot where you can watch the bombsite.
Another good tactic on defense is to have a so called
sweeper in your team. The sweeper's job is to push out from bombsites and destroy any enemy equipment. You can't allow an offensive team to set up Insertions close to te bombsites. If you do , you will be overwhelmed. the best setup would be hacker and posibly lightweight , with a smg weapon.
Dont give up a bombsite until the bitter end. But if the offense gets a plant and has the area tightly locked down,
know when to surrender a site , and move to the remaining site Get new equipment in place, and set up your team. If you do this well, the attackers will not have a lot of time to secure the remaining bombsite. if you hold the tougher point , so much the better. Now they have little time , and they have to attack the more difficult site.
Nova Gas can also help you defend the bombsites , and will warn you if someone is trying to plant.
One last point
Killstreaks Save killstreaks between rounds. storing up streaks and then unleashing them at the start of a new round can have devastating results. On offense it can give you a quick win, on defense it can shut down the offense entirely until they overcome the barrage.
Streaks such as : Napalm , Mortar Team and Rolling thunder are realy good on offense if you planted a bombsite , or on defense to delay the enemy's attack.
